The rod is telescopic and is 6’2″ when fully extended, shortening down to a mere 16 inches. It is made of high density 24-ton carbon fiber and reinforced with fiberglass. The rod has good elasticity but is a little soft. In comparison to the reel, the rod is very light and not quite the same quality.
If you are a traveling fisherman, this rod fits easily into any tackle fishing backpack or carrying case and also comes with one. There are four welded Stainless Steel guides, although due to its length it could have used a fifth one. It has a right/left interchangeable handle and a gear ratio of 5:2:1.
